FOOD SAFETY- USING FLOWERS WITH FOOD:
Flowers on your wedding cake look amazing but for food safety, we do recommend fresh flowers be finished by a professional to decorate the wedding cake.
Stems must be hygenically sealed by para-tape (a waterproof plastic florists tape) that completely seals the ends. We want no sap leaking, and of course we want to protect the cake from any toxic sprays that may have been used with the flowers whilst growing, it is important that you don't just "shove" flowers directly into the cake!
Wiring your flowers, with a dab of wet cotton wool as a water source before taping also ensures they are going to last.
